Kimberly began her career as an Adaptive Recreation Specialist for Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham, Alabama. The highlight of her time at Lakeshore was working with people with varying ability levels worldwide. She saw a need for quality prosthetic and orthotic care, so she left athletics to begin working as an O&P Technician.

Kimberly earned a Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Alabama State University in 2015. She worked as a program Graduate Assistant to aid in class fabrication projects. Kimberly completed a residency in Chicago, Illinois, where she rotated through multiple offices and physician clinics. Her training focused on pediatric orthotics and advanced prosthetic care. After residency, she spent a year working with a clinical researcher in lower extremity prosthetic socket design, including sub-ischial transfemoral sockets and vacuum componentry. Kimberly believes in treating the patient as a whole; understanding prosthetics and orthotics needs to evolve with the patient. She incorporates outcome measures into care to track patient progress.

Kimberly does not sit still for long. She enjoys hiking, biking, and paddle boarding in her free time.
